The IDHSNA has committed to support an exciting event that will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park from Sept 5-7, 2008. Connaught wins Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event & IDHSNA Southeast Region sponsored High Point ID horse   Apr 30, 2008

In Lexington, Kentucky, Phillip Dutton (USA) rode Connaught to take the title in the Rolex Three Day Event 2008 CCI****. Lying third after dressage, the duo increased their lead by moving up to second place after cross country. They won the event after completing a perfect showjumping round in front of a large crowd.
Nicholas Finnerty, Breeding Manager of Horse Sport Ireland, on behalf of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook, and Sue Rowdon, representing the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America, were delighted to be able to make a presentation to the winning rider, Phillip Dutton.

Flexible is second in Rolex FEI World Cup   Apr 30, 2008

The Rolex FEI World Cup Showjumping Final took place in Goteberg, Sweden. Rich Fellers and Flexible finished in second place. The chestnut stallion is by the famous stallion Cruising (ISH), who coincidentally also took second place at the World Cup in 1999 with Trevor Coyle (Irl).

Irish Sport Horse Studbook leads WBFSH Eventing Rankings 2006/2007  

For the 13th consecutive year the Irish Sport Horse Studbook has achieved the prestigious title of the leading studbook in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses Eventing Rankings 2006/2007.

The highest placed Irish Sport Horse in the individual rankings was McKinlaigh (ISH) ridden by Gina Miles (USA).

Galanta (RIDSH) wins 4th Level CDS Horse of the Year   Oct 15, 2007

Galanta (a.k.a. Louie), a 9 year old Irish Sport Horse by Ballinvella (XX) out of Lissacreasig Star (RID), ridden by Oryla Ramey, won the 4th Level AA California Dressage Society (CDS) Horse of the Year Class at the CDS Championships held at Woodside Horse Park, California, October 11 – 14, 2007.  Read more...

At the Northwest Sporthorse Breeders Classic show September 8-9, Rick and Kate Triplett's weanling colt Lucky Punch IDHS was shown in USDF approved Dressage Sporthorse Breeding classes for Irish Draught Partbred and Part Thoroughbred. The judge was Carter Bass of Virginia.  Read more...

IDHSNA gets 1st permanent home in Kentucky Horse Park!   Nov 12, 2006

In a significant decision, the Board of Directors for the IDHSNA has selected the Kentucky Horse Park (KHP) for the new headquarters of the society. The decision fulfills a long standing goal to establish a base for the organization in a professional office setting. The Board felt the time was right to make the commitment to a permanent headquarters as “the volume of work associated with the society has outgrown the capacity and generosity of our volunteers and we look forward to the grand opening on Friday, February 23rd, 2007.” This marks the first time in its fourteen year history that the IDHSNA will have a permanent headquarters.  Read more...
