Call and NOTICE for 2011 Annual Show RFP's

For anyone interested in submitting an RFP for the 2011 Annual Show, below is the calendar with deadlines:

March 1, 2010: 2011 Annual Show RFP Let Date

March 11, 2010: 2011 Annual Show RFP Intent to Bid Letter Due

May 31, 2010: 2011 Annual Show Final Proposal Due

June 1, 2010: 2011 RFP Review Committee received Proposals electronically and begins individual review

June 8-15, 2010: 2011 RFP Review Committee conducts telephone interviews with applicants

June 22, 2010: 2011 RFP Review Committee makes Recommendation to Board of Directors

June 22-29 2010: Board reviews 2011 RFP Review Committee Recommendation, has conference call and votes to Select

June 30, 2010: Board Announces 2011 Annual Show Proposal Selected

July 1-31, 2010: Board enters into Binding Contract with Chosen RFP, contract to be drawn up by Society attorney and reviewed by both parties, with negotiations or changes being handled prior to July 16 via conference call. Board of Director's Annual Show Liason and Show Chairperson are contract signatories.

June 1, 2011: 2011 Annual Show Draft Prize list and Program Layout Due; Details on and a list of available hotels/motels, restaurants, and meeting rooms are due (hotels giving show discount identified as well); Directions and maps from all major nearby interstate highways are due

July 1, 2011: 2011 Annual Show Final Class List Due

August 1, 2011: 2011 Annual Show Final Prize List and Program Layout Due; Final list of show personnel due (includes ring stewards, announcer(s), jump crews, etc); Detail plans for the annual dinner/banquet due
