Profile
KEC Double Diamond (Oisin) carries the genes of some of the great Irish performance bloodlines in the world. KEC Double Diamond is an approved RID stallion, who was awarded this status in Ireland by successfully completing a thorough testing regimine, including performance testing in open shows in 2000. Oisin ['Ush-een] was purchased from the Kennedy Equestrian Center and imported from Ireland in 2001 as a 5-year old by Adsagsona. Oisin's father, Glidawn Diamond, is the son of King of Diamonds out of the premier mare, Kildalton Countess, making his lines some of the most sought after in the world for producing jumpers and all-around athletic sporthorses for any discipline.
KEC Double Diamond has successfully competed through open 4th level dressage himself and was about to debut at Prix St. Georges, when a pasture injury ended his performance career. A versatile stallion, Oisin has competed in jumping through High Modified levels and even tried his hand for fun in eventing and placed third his only time out in Novice level after 5 rides under the rider! A modified champion jumper in his own right under both professional and amateur riders, the only thing that kept him back from going further in his jumping career was our personal courage and a great sponsor!
KEC Double Diamond is already renowned for stamping his foals strongly with his looks, wonderful conformation, athleticism, work ethic and soul. Whether looking for a superb jumper or dressage horse, this Irish horse is unique. He demonstrates power and excellent technique over fences which complements his natural self-carriage and ground covering movement.
